Most visitors come to Chile during December, January, and February. However, I’d say Autumn (March, April, May) is one of the best times to visit, and here are 5 reasons why:

1.- Goldilocks temperatures: Slightly less heat, but not cold yet. Whether you visit at the tail end of Summer (March), or fully during Autumn, nights are already starting to feel cooler. Also, not being winter yet, the parks in Patagonia are still open for visitors.

2.- Vendimia. Wine harvests and the corresponding festivals. Need I say more?

3.- Photography: Shorter days mean there’s a bigger chance of you making it to wonderful spots with perfect early morning or late afternoon lighting. The mid-day glare is easy to avoid for those unforgettable shots. Same with the stars. By mid April, Sagittarius (AKA, the galactic centre) will be visible over the horizon from 1AM

4.- Schools and universities are back in session, which means local summer holidays are over, and everywhere is no longer crawling with tourists. You’ll be able to enjoy peace and quiet with your nature.

5.- Better pricing: Since high season lasts until the end of March, if you visit us during April, you’ll get better deals on accommodation and flights.

If you were deciding when to book your next vacation, stop wondering, and book now!
