🍷 Stop 1: Boutique Winery in Maipo Valley

Your day begins with a 9:00 AM hotel pick-up in Santiago. We’ll head south to the Maipo Valley, where you’ll visit a small, family-run winery known for its warm hospitality and elegant wines.

Enjoy a guided tour through the vineyard and cellar, followed by a wine tasting that showcases the valley’s signature varietals. Then, relax over a traditional Chilean lunch at a nearby restaurant, featuring hearty local dishes in a rustic countryside setting.

🏞️ Stop 2: Cajón del Maipo Exploration

After lunch, we follow the winding path of the Maipo River deeper into the Cajón del Maipo, a dramatic Andean canyon filled with lush vegetation and towering peaks. Along the way, we’ll pause in San José de Maipo, a charming colonial village founded in 1792.

You’ll have time to stroll through the main square, visit the old church, and take in the relaxed mountain-town atmosphere before continuing our drive into the heart of the canyon.

🌋 A Journey Through Time

The landscapes here tell ancient stories—millions of years ago, the Cajón del Maipo was underwater. As you drive, you’ll see fascinating rock formations and fossils that reveal its marine past.

The area’s first inhabitants were the Chiquillanes people, and archaeological finds also show Inca influence—including a mummy now displayed in Chile’s National Museum of Natural History.

🍹 Final Stop: Mountain Refreshment

Before heading back to Santiago, we’ll stop for refreshments and a chance to stretch your legs in the crisp mountain air. A peaceful end to a day of discovery.
