🍷 Stop 1: First Boutique Winery Visit
Your day begins with an 8:45 AM pick-up from your hotel in Santiago. We’ll head south into the Maipo Valley, Chile’s historic wine region, to visit the first boutique winery of the day.
Take a guided tour through the vineyard and winemaking facilities, learn about the unique terroir of the region, and enjoy a tasting of handcrafted wines—often poured by the winemaker themselves.
🍽️ Lunch at a Traditional Chilean Restaurant
Next, we stop at a local restaurant known for its authentic Chilean cuisine. Enjoy a selection of regional dishes from a curated menu, with plenty of local wine options to pair with your meal.
🍷 Stop 2: Second Boutique Winery Visit
In the afternoon, we continue to a second boutique winery in Alto Maipo, nestled at the foothills of the Andes. You’ll tour the property, visit the cellars, and sample elegant wines such as Cabernet Sauvignon and CarmĂ©nère, shaped by the region’s high-altitude microclimate.
🌄 Why the Maipo Valley?
The Maipo Valley is the closest wine region to Santiago and is divided into three sub-regions: Alto Maipo, Central Maipo, and Pacific Maipo. This tour focuses on Alto Maipo, known for its bold reds thanks to the dramatic day–night temperature swings and rocky, nutrient-poor soils.
The Andes play a key role here—cooling the vineyards at night and creating ideal conditions for viticulture. You’ll learn how Chile’s climate and geography make it one of the best wine-producing countries in the world.
