Travel Sustainably with Us in Chile

At Chile Off Track, we believe exploring this beautiful country should go hand-in-hand with protecting it. From the Andes to the coast, our mission is to create unforgettable experiences while keeping our impact on the environment and local communities as positive as possible.

Our Commitment to Sustainability

  • We’ve built sustainability into the way we operate. Here’s how we try to make every tour eco-conscious and community-friendly:
  • We follow Leave No Trace principles. That means we clean up after ourselves, respect wildlife, and keep nature as untouched as possible.
  • We support Chile’s national parks by using official trails, which helps fund their maintenance and protection.
  • Our guides love to share stories not just about where we go, but why these places matter—culturally, historically, and environmentally.
  • We work with local partners—like small artisan shops, family-run businesses, and local accommodations—so your visit supports the people who live here.
  • We no longer offer single-use plastic water bottles. Instead, we ask our guests to bring their own reusable bottles, or we can provide one for you. It’s a small change that makes a big difference.
  • Even the little things matter to us: we use modern, low-emission vehicles, offer snacks in paper bags instead of plastic, and give locally made gifts like ceramic keepsakes to our guests.

How You Can Help While Traveling in Chile

As a traveler, your choices can make a big difference. Here’s how you can help us keep Chile beautiful and thriving:

  • Travel with responsible companies (like us!) that are committed to doing things the right way.
  • Respect nature. Stay on the trails, avoid picking plants or feeding animals, and don’t leave anything behind.
  • Support local. Buy souvenirs from local artisans, eat at local restaurants, and stay in places run by local families when possible.
  • Reduce waste. Bring a refillable water bottle, a tote bag, and reusable utensils to avoid single-use plastics.
  • Stay curious and informed. Ask questions, learn about the places you visit, and share what you learn with others.
  • Every little action helps. Together, we can make sure Chile stays just as magical for the next traveler—and the one after that.
